Xfers Ver 1.0 - Up/Download Log creator for RemoteAccess By Jim Black
Xfers was created so that there would be one easy way of knowing what was
uploaded and downloaded from the system. It will create two files:
Upload.log and Download.log containing the time/date of transfer, the user,
and the file transfered. This list is in order by most recent transfers
being at the top of the list.
This program also has the ability to `Touch' the time and date of the file
uploaded to that of the time and date it was acually uploaded according to
the system log. Using this program in conjunction with my TicTalk will
give your users all in-coming Tics when newscanning as well as having a way
of logging the Tics as uploaded files.
This version of the program makes no effort to remember where it left off
while reading the RA.log so you MUST DELETE THE RA.LOG BETWEEN PROGRAM RUNS!
On my system I take advantage of Echo Atlantic Computer System's Dfile to
rename the system log to that of dailyDDD (Julean date) after each run.
Three parameters are available in this version of the program. They are:
T - Touch the filedates to that in the RA log
B - Create Backup files of prior Up/Download Logs
Q - Run in Quiet Mode (No screen writes)
Xfers was originaly written for QuickBBS. Rather than supporting both QBBS
and RA with one program, I decided it was easier to just convert to RA.
The QuietMode was added since the QuickBBS version.
\\\\\IMPORTANT/////
No effort was made to support file Sharing for multitasking enviornments
because I have never written a program to do that and really don't have
any idea how to go about it.
This version was rushed and may contain some minor bugs. If any are found,
please let me know. I can be reached at 1:324/115 Fido, or at (508)682-0133
300-14,400 baud HST. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy this FREE FOR THE
TAKING RA Utility.
